A budget for bathrooms?

The chancellor’s proposed measures to stimulate growth and improve stability in the economy is generally welcomed. Any measures which will help our industry have to be applauded. Tax simplification and the reduction in corporation tax to 23% in coming years is a very welcome move for our manufacturing members. So too is the removal of the excessive regulation and red tape which have bound our businesses for so long. The removal of the tight grip on planning will help property developers and bathrooms will see some benefits there and the removal of planned fuel duty increases will help in bathrooms distribution. But it’s the announced help for first time buyers which pleases us most since, when the measures do take hold, a stimulus to the housing market, and the associated link to the bathroom industry, is very welcome.
