BMA Marketing Manager
Amy Kirk and Technical Director Christian Taylor-Hamlin will be taking part in
the Three Peaks Challenge this August to raise funds for the BMA’s chosen
charity the Children’s Burns Trust.
The challenge will see them take on the three
biggest mountains in Great Britain – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
They will be scaling the 42km, in a combined
climb time of no more than 24 hours, across three grueling days with the aim
of raising awareness of the dangers of hot water in the home.
“We wanted to take part in a challenge that
would push us physically and hopefully create a good level of sponsorship for
the charity” says Amy Kirk. “The Three Peaks is a notoriously difficult test
and we are hoping the industry will get behind the challenge and help us raise
lots of money for the Children’s s Burns trust.”
The BMA along with the Children’s Burns Trust
launched the Hot Water Burns Like Fire campaign in October at the 2014 Annual
Bathroom and Kitchen Business Conference.
As part of the fundraising activities the team
are offering members and affiliate members the opportunity to sponsor the team
t-shirts with a variety of slots available as well as features on the teams’
finish line banner. If you would like information on sponsorship you can
request a pack from amy.kirk@bathroom-association.org.uk.
The team also have a JustGiving page where you
